Concur is continuing expansion of its Concur Connect program with a strategic investment in RideCharge, a provider of ground travel booking that lets business travelers electronically book, pay and get reimbursed for metropolitan taxi, sedan and shuttle transportation.
Through innovative iPhone, Windows Mobile, and Blackberry applications, RideCharge enables travelers to instantly book local taxi service, receive real-time taxi GPS updates about when the car is coming, and pay the fare using their mobile device in more than 30 cities nationwide. Seamless integration with Concur Travel and Expense allows travel managers to better control ground transport costs by providing electronic booking, payment, and expense management for taxi, sedan, limo and shuttle services — while virtually eliminating paper receipts and accidental or fraudulent over-reporting of taxi expenses by travelers.
The RideCharge investment is one of several suppliers newly integrated into the Concur Connect network. At its recent 2009 global users conference, company executives Rajeev Singh and Tom DePasquale also highlighted partnerships with Enterprise Rent-A-Car's National and Alamo brands, SNCF, SWABIZ, Volaris and Interjet. Other developments cited by the pair include:
• Concur Mobile, an extension of the company's integrated travel and expense capabilities to smartphones;
• New features of the Concur Intelligence advanced reporting and analysis solution, including a fraud reporting module, and flexible dashboards and scorecards.
