Lots of travel management companies out there are seeking a role as your program’s technology partners
There’s no doubt travel management companies have much to offer the corporate travel program – and that includes technology solutions.  
Whether they are acting as resellers or offering their own unique products, travel management companies may offer a complex suite of technology available as part of a service, separately, or as an integrated solution. But more importantly, how do you best match your company’s objectives and program’s needs to the technology your TMC is touting as best?

The potential for collaboration should be a primary factor in selecting and using these technology tools, advises David Kaufman, CEO of New York-based Acquis Consulting Group. “The corporate travel buyer’s landscape has become much more integrated and complex in recent years,” he says. “Travel executives rely on their partners to bring about innovative solutions and new products. More often, these solutions require collaboration amongst different groups of service providers, whether travel management companies, expense reporting software, or commercial card/banks, with much of it being behind the scenes.”
