Wyndham will enter the Poland market early in February with the opening of the 205-room Wyndham Wroclaw Old Town in the city’s center just 10 miles from Wroclaw Nicolaus Copernicus Airport. Wroclaw is one of the largest cities in western Poland. The hotel will feature an expansive atrium and a top-floor wellness area with a fitness room, sauna and stream bath. The property will offer a range of food and beverage outlets, including a gourmet restaurant, a lounge and a bar. There will be 11 meeting rooms, accommodating over 400 people. The hotel is the latest addition in Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ growing portfolio in Europe, including over 350 operational hotels across 30 countries and a development pipeline of over 90 properties. All told, Wyndham franchises about 9,000 hotels in nearly 95 countries. Christian Michel, vice president development-Europe for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA, said that Poland has strong development potential. With favorable economic conditions and a large domestic demand, he said, “Poland brings exciting opportunities for our industry and perfectly fits our growth strategy for Europe.”
