Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched a new mobile app that the company says prioritizes low-contact in-stay features and offers mobile check-in and checkout at nearly 6,000 economy and midscale hotels in the US. Other features of the app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, include: Lightning Book, which enables searching and booking a hotel in as few as three taps; and digital room key, coming later this year to select resorts and available more broadly over the next 12 months. The app promises “an immersive experience” that involves personal touches and anticipates and adapts to users’ real-time needs based on where they are and what they want to do. That includes: in-stay mode, which provides information most relevant to the guest, such as front desk texting and local attractions; my app passport, allowing guests to track their engagements with stamps, animations and more; special offers for current and future stays; and account management, including the ability to easily update Wyndham Rewards member profiles, add methods of payment, purchase points and more.
