Parkroyal Collection will focus on sustainability with first properties in Singapore >>
UOL Group Limited and its hotel subsidiary Pan Pacific Hotels Group has launched a new brand, Parkroyal Collection, which will have an emphasis on sustainability. Liam Wee Sin, group chief executive of UOL, said that “as a developer we are keenly aware of environmental challenges.”
The first property is the Parkroyal on Pickering, which the company calls Singapore’s “first hotel in a garden.” It has been renamed Parkroyal Collection Pickering. The Parkroyal Collection Pickering has over 3.7 acres of gardens in the heart of the city’s central business district. Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Pan Pacific, said the new brand was created “for those with a sense of purpose and responsibility.” It demonstrates, he said, that sustainability and modern lifestyle can coexist through conscious design and efforts. Also joining the collection is the former Marina Mandarin, which will become the Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay. It will also feature a garden.
