Tzell Travel Group and Protravel International, both subsidiaries of Travel Leaders Group, are having internal discussions about aligning under a unified operating division within the company, said J.D. O’Hara, CEO of Travel Leaders Group. The move would be aimed at “leveraging the expertise, programs, service and support teams of both organizations.” For now, said O’Hara, “it is business as usual. As our plans develop, we will keep you informed.” The discussions were revealed just days after Travel Leaders Group announced that Travel Leaders Corporate and Altour’s corporate travel business would be aligning under the single Altour brand offering travel fulfillment, data and insights, and meetings and incentive management. That initiative, according to the company, will bring “immense buying leverage” to new and existing customers in the midsized market.
