Turkish Airlines has opened a new lounge at Terminal 1 of John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. With nearly 4,600 square feet of space, the facility can accommodate up to 140 guests, enough for business class passengers and status holders, according to an announcement.

The lounge is located between Gates 2 and 3 in the terminal, with large windows overlooking the apron and runway.
The lounge will operate between 9 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. Business class passengers, Elite and Elite Plus members, and Star Alliance first class and business class guests as well as Gold card members will have access to the lounge, along with family members and guests of Elite, Elite Plus and Gold members and pay-per-use passengers. Turkish Airlines has three flights daily from JFK to Istanbul.

Dr. Ahmet Bolat, chairman of the board, said in a statement that the airline is committed to expanding its footprint across more US gateways, and the opening of the lounge is another accomplishment in this mission.
