Arrangement aims to offer greater abilities in servicing off-channel transactions >>
Traxo, a provider of real-time travel capture data, has partnered with Agentivity, a travel data management provider, to provide travel management companies (TMCs) with data on clients’ supplier-direct bookings, according to an announcement.
The partnership, according to the announcement, will give TMCs greater abilities in servicing off-channel bookings, as they can integrate such services as itineraries, data automation and data sharing with duty-of-care providers. TMCs can also receive merged reporting on the client's travel data.
Edd McArdle, head of product and partnerships for UK-based Agentivity, said that having access to the client’s supplier.com bookings made outside the TMC channel provides additional servicing opportunities. It also addresses, he said, the upsell challenge “in that we can now provide the TMC with visibility on content for the next trip the client would usually book themselves.”
Matt Griffin, chief product officer of Traxo, said trying to change travelers’ behavior to always and only book with their agent is unrealistic, adding that travelers will inevitably book some part of their trip directly with a supplier for a variety of reasons.
He said the partnership will bring new value to TMCs worldwide, as well as an added advantage to corporate travel buyers who can now see all their booking data in one place, further enabling them to make the best decisions about each travel purchase and optimize policies and supplier relationships.
TMCs will not be able to access direct booking data without the permission of the corporate client, according to the companies.
