TAP Air Portugal will add service from Chicago and Washington to Lisbon beginning next June. The carrier will add five flights per week from Lisbon to Chicago O’Hare June 1 and from Lisbon to Washington-Dulles June 16. Antonaldo Neves, CEO, said TAP has 10 gateways in Brazil with service to and from Portugal and the carrier can support the same number for the US, meaning there is still room to grow. TAP now flies from New York, Newark, Miami, Philadelphia, Boston and Los Angeles. The new Chicago flight will leave Lisbon at 1:05 p.m. and arrive at Chicago O’Hare at 4:05 p.m., and the return will depart from Chicago at 6:05 p.m. and arrive in Lisbon at 7:50 a.m. the next day. The flights will leave Lisbon for Washington-Dulles at 4:30 p.m. and arrive at 7:40 p.m., and the return will depart Washington at 10:40 p.m. and arrive in Lisbon at 10:50 the next day. TAP now serves 55 destinations in Europe and 17 in Africa.
