Southwest Leads Major North American Carriers in On-Time Performance

Southwest Airlines (89.4%) had the best on-time performance among major North American carriers in January, followed by Hawaiian Airlines (88.3%) and Delta Air Lines (88.2%), according to Cirium's monthly on-time performance report. Cirium reviewed carriers that are in the top 30% in terms of flight frequency, total seats (filled and unfilled) and available seat kilometers in North America and ranked the top 10 by on-time arrival percentage. Delta (89%) was the leader for major global carriers, followed by Aeroflot (88.1%) and ANA (88.7%). Eurowings (93.5%) led major European carriers, followed by Alitalia (92.33%) and Iberia Express (92.27%). And major Asian -Pacific carriers were led by Air New Zealand (88.7%), ANA (87.7%) and Japan Air Lines (87.4%).
