Southwest Airlines will renew its longstanding partnership with Travelport, the travel commerce platform. The multi-year contract gives Travelport-connected travel agencies continued access to search and book Southwest’s fares and content through the Travelport platform. Part of this new agreement includes increased availability of Southwest’s content to more of Travelport’s customers via Worldspan, Travelport’s GDS. Damian Hickey, Travelport’s global head of air partners, said, “Southwest Airlines has long been one of our most valued customers, and we are very pleased they will remain with us, particularly for our corporate and government business clients.” Rob Brown, Southwest’s senior director of B2B channels and services, said that Travelport continues to display a partnership approach that “enables Southwest to reach potential customers in a way that is meaningful to us and that aligns our growth strategy with our distribution goals.”
