Sonesta International Hotels properties are participating in a COVID-19 testing initiative that includes several options for meeting planners to share with their attendees, according to the company. Sonesta is partnering with Cleaning Services Global to give planners access to a combination of pre-testing, on-site testing and post-testing. All full-service properties will offer pre- and post-testing, while a number of hotels will also offer on-site testing. Planners will be able to directly arrange the level of service they require with the testing vendor based on the property offerings. The hotels will provide space and accommodation for medical staff that is needed. Blair McSheffrey, vice president, sales and marketing, said there is a lot of pent-up demand to get back to business as usual. He said the new program, in conjunction with “Stay Safe with Sonesta” initiatives at the hotels, “will provide reassurance to companies and planners about our commitment to meeting safety.” Hotels offering on-site testing in addition to pre- and post-testing are: Royal Sonesta Boston, Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria, Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island, Sonesta Redondo Beach & Marina, The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel Chicago and The Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta St. Louis.
