Qatar Airways won World’s Best Airline for the fifth time in a row at the 2019 World Airline Awards at the Paris Air Show.  The awards are given by Skytrax, an air transport rating and review service. Qatar also won for best business class, best business class seat and best airline in the Middle East. The remainder of the top 10 in order were Singapore Airlines, ANA All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, EVA Air, Hainan Airlines, Qantas Airways, Lufthansa and Thai Airways. Singapore Airlines won for best cabin crew, best first class, best airline in Asia and best first-class seat. Other awards included: AirAsia as world’s best low-cost airline, Norwegian as world’s best low-cost long-haul airline, Star Alliance as world’s best airline alliance, Philippine Airlines as world’s most improved airline and Bangkok Airways as world’s best regional airline. The awards are based on customer surveys.
