Sentient Jet sees continuing popularity of service as industry emerges from pandemic >>

Sentient Jet, a private aviation provider that offers jet cards for travel predicts that 2021 will see the highest volume summer in its history. The company is forecasting that this July and August they will be flying 30-50% more volume than in previous “normal” summers. Sentient Jet ended 2020 with $450 million in jet card sales and much of that flight time will be redeemed this year. Andrew Collins, CEO, told BTE that private aviation has been “transformed from a luxury to a utility” because of the pandemic, adding, “I don’t anticipate that will go away anytime soon.” He said a strong argument of flying private is the ability to steer clear of crowded airports and avoiding hundreds of exposure points, which became even more important to travelers this past year. During the pandemic, said Collins, clients tapped the company because they knew they could book contactless, pull right up to their aircraft, and be on their way. “I expect,” he said, “that those who have the means to fly private will continue to do so for that added layer of safety.”
