PASS Consulting, a software and IT consulting company, has launched PASS Travel Agent Desktop (TAD), a booking system that combines all central distribution channels as well as work steps in one intuitive web interface. The tool, according to an announcement, enables travel agencies and travel management companies to compare content from different sources — without process interruptions. Anne-Kathrin Geuppert, head of business development travel for Europe/Middle East/Africa, said TAD maps all distribution channels in one web interface — from GDS and NDC content to direct connections as well as low-cost carriers and aggregators for flights, rental cars and hotels. The bottom line, she said, is that agents can not only offer better advice and more attractive prices, but simply tap into additional revenue streams and realize savings. A central focus during development, said the announcement, was to ensure consistently high quality and to cover the from offer management to booking and post-booking tasks. The result is “an end-to-end process that ensures efficient and transparent workflow.”
