Norwegian will launch a new twice-weekly service from London Gatwick to Tampa beginning Oct. 31. The carrier’s long-haul flights from London Gatwick are operated by new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft offering up to 344 seats in a two-class configuration, economy and premium. A new, extended premium cabin has been introduced, with 60 percent more seats in that category. The new, 56-seat premium section offers passengers extra legroom, complimentary meals and drinks, generous baggage allowance and airport lounge access. Norwegian claims to be the second largest long-haul airline at Gatwick with 13 direct long-haul destinations. For winter 2018, the carrier will serve 11 routes to the US, including Tampa. Guy Stephenson, chief financial officer for Gatwick, said the new Tampa service, as well as a new daily schedule for existing Buenos Aires and Boston routes and increases to other services, all give passengers more choice and flexibility.
