Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) has named Steve Solomon as chief commercial officer; he has been serving as vice president of global customers and data products. In his new role, Solomon will help lead ARC’s long-term business strategy and commercial capabilities while serving as an advisor and business partner to the ARC executive team. Prior to ARC, he held senior roles at Kastle Systems, Fannie Mae and MicroStrategy. He began his career with Citigroup’s Global Institutional Bank and spent a number of years as a managing consultant with Willis Towers Watson.

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has named Chris Lynes as managing director of its Canadian business; and Brian McLaren as executive vice president for Flight Centre Brand Canada. Lynes started with FCTG in 2000 and will continue his role as president of FCTG’s Corporate Traveler brand for the Americas while also taking the helm of the overall Canadian business. McLaren’s career with FCTG spans two decades, most recently in the role of senior vice president, leisure supply-Americas. Both executives started at FCTG as travel consultants, working their way up through various leadership positions.
