Hahn Air has appointed Christoph Althoff as vice president-airline business. He takes over from Steve Knackstedt, who has been in the role for more than 13 years and who will retire at the end of this year. For the past 17 years, Althoff has worked for travel industry companies such as PROS Holding and Amadeus with extensive experience in digital retailing channels.
WestJet has appointed Diederik Pen as COO. He had been COO of Budapest-based low-cost carrier Wizz Air until the end of 2020. He will join WestJet in the fall once he completes the immigration process. According to an announcement, Pen has “a breadth of experience [that] spans line management, commercial, operational and leadership roles in airports, for flag carriers and low-cost airlines.”
Bizzabo, an event planning platform, has hired Tim Bull as vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He served most recently as managing director of sales for EMEA and the Asia Pacific region at Aventri. Prior to that, he was director of sales at Lanyon, which is now owned by Cvent and renamed Cvent Business Transient.
