ATPCO announced that Robert Albert, executive vice president of retailing at ATPCO and founder and former CEO of Routehappy, is leaving his full-time position at ATPCO. He will continue with the company in a consultative position as senior advisor. Over the past 2-and-a-half years, according to a statement, Albert led the successful integration of Routehappy into ATPCO and helped establish retailing as a core focus for the company, alongside pricing. ATPCO’s acquisition of Routehappy in 2018 – which was the first-ever acquisition by the airline-owned industry organization – was a key part of the 55-year-old company’s evolution to an airline platform that delivers essential infrastructure for both pricing and retailing.
