IHG Hotels & Resorts has named Mark Sergot senior vice president-global sales to replace Derek DeCross, who departed the company in April. Sergot previously served as the company’s vice president of global sales operations and enablement. Prior to IHG, Sergot was chief sales officer at Associated Luxury Hotels International. He has also held senior leadership roles at Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel.


Breeze Airways has named Michael Wuerger as COO. He will replace Tom Anderson, Breeze’s co-founder and COO for the last three years. Wuerger has 30 years of aviation industry experience, including as a pilot. In his most recent position, he was responsible for Breeze’s operational performance, including the implementation of continuous improvement plans, operations automation and on-time performance.


Hyatt Hotels Corporation has named Javier Águila as group president-Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region. He most recently served as group president for Apple Leisure Group’s (ALG) AMResorts Europe and global strategy. Hyatt acquired ALG in 2021.


The Doyle Collection, a luxury hotel group, has appointed Gordon Drake as its new CEO. He is an international hotelier who worked previously with Westmont, Six Senses, Kingdom Hotels and Rocco Forte Hotels.
