Global Business Travel Association has appointed Jake Cefolia as vice president of the Allied Leadership Council (ALC); he is senior vice president, worldwide sales for United Airlines. He will replace Dorothy Dowling, CMO for Best Western Hotels & Resorts, who recently assumed the position of ALC president.




Hyatt Hotels Corporation has named Jim Tierney as senior vice president of development and owner relations for the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands in North America. He has been serving as the company’s vice president of development and owner relations. Prior to joining Hyatt in 2014,  he served as director of development for Cambria Suites at Choice Hotels International.




Pyramid Hotel Group, a hotel management group, has named Warren Fields as CEO, replacing co-founder Richard Kelleher, who will become chairman of the board. Fields is a founding partner of the company and has been chief investment officer since 1999, helping grow the company’s portfolio to about 100 hotels.




GoldSpring Consulting, a business travel and meeting consultancy, has named Charlie Mitchell as technology solutions consultant. He was previously with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, where he led a digital solutions team that spearheaded technology consulting focused on the integration of technology into travel programs.
