Sonesta International Hotels Corporation has named Elizabeth Harlow as the company's chief marketing and brand officer. She previously held leadership roles at travel and real estate organizations, including Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Leading Hotels of the World and MGM Resorts.
American Airlines has named Mecole Brown as chief people officer, leading all aspects of global talent and recruitment, benefits and compensation, people operations and diversity, equity and inclusion. She served most recently as vice president, human resources for Amazon’s devices and services, corporate and business development, and advertising and entertainment business segments.
Delta Air Lines has promoted Jennie Ho to vice president, inflight field operations, effective in June. She will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction related to managing the day-to-day safety and customer service performance of Delta’s flight attendants, supervisory and administrative personnel in 14 domestic bases. Ho was previously at Delta Vacations for four years.
Oneworld Alliance has named Akbar Al Baker as chairman. He succeeds Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce. Al Baker has led Qatar Airways since its launch in 1997. Under his leadership, the carrier’s network has grown to over 140 destinations.
JetBlue announced the appointment of Laurie Villa as chief people officer, effective in June. She has more than 20 years of experience across several industries, most recently as chief human resources officer at Spirit Airlines for the past six and a half years.
ATPCO, the airline-owned data technology company, has named Ellen Lee as chief commercial officer and Maya Bordeaux as chief people and culture officer. Lee has decades of experiences in digital technology and e-commerce. She has worked at American Airlines and Delta Airlines, and as a senior vice president at G2 SwitchWorks, which she co-founded with Alex Zoghlin, who was recently named CEO of ATPCO. Bordeaux has served in several senior human resources leadership roles, including at McDonald’s Corporation. She has also worked at Wilton Brands and Tribune Publishing.
