Marriott International has appointed Brian Povinelli to senior vice president, global head of marketing and brand. Povinelli, who has been with Marriott since its acquisition of Starwood Hotels in September 2016, most recently held the role of senior vice president, global brand, portfolio and loyalty marketing. Previously, he spent ten years with Starwood Hotels.
IHG Hotels and Resorts has announced that Jolyon Bulley will succeed Elie Maalouf as Americas CEO. Bulley is currently CEO for the Greater China region, and also the group’s transformation lead for luxury and lifestyle. The appointment follows the announcement on May 5 that Maalouf will become IHG’s CEO on July 1, succeeding Keith Barr.
Lyft, the ground transportation provider, has named Erin Brewer to be the company’s new CFO on July 10, succeeding Elaine Paul, who has held the position since January 2022. Paul will stay on as an advisor until Nov. 30.

Mandarin Oriental has announced two senior leadership appointments. Amanda Hyndman, who joined the company in 2007, has been promoted to the position of chief people officer, and Francesco Cefalú has been promoted to the role of chief development officer. Hyndman has over 30 years’ experience in the luxury hotel industry, having most recently been the hotel group’s director of quality and rooms. Cefalú joined the company in 2016 as regional development director for EMEA.
