Festive Road, a travel and meetings engagement consultancy, has named Meredith Smith to lead its Americas region and strategic meetings management practice. She had been serving as executive director of supplier and business strategy for travel, meetings and payments for Merck, where she worked for 10 years. She has also worked at Intel and Expedia.Furnished Quarters, a provider of furnished apartments, has hired Terri Davis as the first corporate sales manager of the company’s new Northern California market. Additionally, Dana Pagliei has been promoted to corporate sales manager in Massachusetts. Davis was most recently business development manager for Oakwood Worldwide, the corporate housing company. Prior to that she worked for Restaurant Technologies and Hertz. Pagliei began working at Furnished Quarters in early 2015 as a sales coordinator. She had previously worked as a leasing specialist for Roseland Residential Trust.
Citymax Hotels, a part of the hospitality division of Landmark Group, has named Aly Shariff as COO. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the industry, having spent 17 years at Whitbread, the UK’s largest hospitality company where he spent a decade developing and operating its Premier Inn brand in India and South East Asia. Citymax currently has properties in the Middle East.
