South African Airways has appointed Marlene Sanau as vice president of sales, North America, based at the carrier’s North America regional office in Fort Lauderdale. She will be responsible for implementing sales strategies to strengthen and grow business relationships with SAA’s travel trade partners, online travel agency distribution channels, corporate customers, and key tourism industry organizations. She will also oversee SAA’s team of sales development directors located throughout North America, along with the business development and inside sales departments in Fort Lauderdale. She spent over 25 years with Lufthansa, serving in a number of countries.
American Airlines named Peter Warlick as vice president-corporate development and Heather Garboden as vice president-financial planning and analysis. Warlick has been with the airline since 1994 and has held multiple positions, including, most recently, vice president-financial analysis. Garboden has been serving as vice president-financial planning. She adds the functions of labor and financial analysis and fleet planning.
Furnished Quarters, a provider of temporary furnished apartments, has appointed Dawn Rana as director of corporate sales. She will be charged with targeting key growth sectors. Rana previously held management roles at Smith Corporate Living, National Corporate Housing, Wereldhave Management and Churchill Living, totaling about 20 years in the corporate housing industry.
Egencia, a travel management company, has appointed Wendy White as vice president of marketing, leading all global marketing functions. White has over 20 years of experience, having worked in marketing technology at CenturyLink, Intel, Microsoft, Motorola and others.
