Lufthansa Group announced two leadership changes in major commercial roles. Heiko Reitz will be chief commercial officer of Lufthansa Airlines and Stefan Kreuzpaintner will be responsible for network, alliance and partner management of Lufthansa Group. The company operates Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings. According to an announcement, Reitz has made several key decisions for network, alliance and partner management in recent years and drove development of holistic commercial customer offerings. As a member of the Lufthansa Airlines board, according to the announcement, Kreuzpaintner played a key role in further developing and strengthening core brand commercial structures and pushing ahead with strategic premium positioning while coping with the pandemic. Following that crisis management, he pushed introduction of the new long-haul Lufthansa premium product “Allegris.”
Marriott International announced it has promoted Drew Pinto to executive vice president and chief revenue and technology officer; and Peggy Fang Roe to executive vice president and chief customer officer. Both have been with the company for more than two decades. Pinto had been global officer for global sales, distribution and revenue management. Roe had been global officer for customer experience, loyalty and new ventures.
Virgin Atlantic announced that Luke Goggin will become vice president of global sales, beginning in August. He was most recently head of UK and Ireland sales and global accounts for British Airways. Rachel Wilton, head of sales operations, will act as interim vice president of global sales until August.

FCM‘s Meeting & Events division has named Monica Boundy as director of event operations and Hayley Ketchum as director of sales and account management. Boundy joined Flight Centre Travel Group, FCM’s parent company, in 2016, and in 2019 became part of the operations team as event director. Ketchum has extensive experience in catering sales and convention sales with multiple hotels. She spent the last decade with EMC Meetings & Events as event manager.
The U.S. Travel Association has elected Christopher Nassetta, CEO of Hilton, as national chair. He may serve up to two consecutive one-year terms. He will lead the executive board and board of delegates and work closely with CEO Geoff Freeman and the executive leadership team to advise the association on its mission of increasing travel to and within the US.
The American Hotel & Lodging Association has promoted Kevin Carey to senior executive vice president and COO. He joined AHLA in 2017. Carey will now be responsible for leading membership, strategic partnerships and business development, as well as conferences and events.
