Spirit Airlines announced that Ted Christie will be named the airline’s president on Jan. 1, 2018 and will become CEO one year later, in January 2019. Christie has been serving as CFO and has been with the carrier since 2012, joining as senior vice president and CFO. Earlier this year, he became an executive vice president.
Extended Stay America (ESA) and its paired-share REIT, ESH Hospitality (ESH), have named Jonathan S. Halkyard to serve as the next president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2018. Current CEO Gerry Lopez will become senior advisor until March 18, 2018. Halkyard has served as CFO of ESA and ESH since January 2015 and prior to that as ESA’s COO since September 2013. Prior to that he was CFO for NV Efnergy in Nevada and held various positions with Caesars Entertainment.Benchmark, a global hospitality company, has named Fatima Molina global revenue support center director. She was previously director of rooms for Hotel Contessa, a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property in San Antonio. Prior to that she served in several positions of increasing responsibility at Hotel Contessa in guest services and the front office.
