CIBT Global, the visa and passport service provider, has named Marc Kaplan as CEO. He had been a company board member. Kaplan is a senior advisory board member for private equity firm Kohlberg & Company, which became CIBT’s majority owner in 2019. In a 25-year career, Kaplan has had stints with Deloitte and the Associated Press and also founded ChekMarc, a digital software company. Kaplan is charged with “"firmly establishing CIBT as the global leader in mobility services," according to the company.

Belmond, the luxury hotel group, has named Sébastien Samoye as vice president of real estate. He has over 20 years of international experience working in asset management, finance and real estate. Most recently, Samoye had his own practice, CREO Advisory. He has also worked with major hotel-owning companies such as Schroders Real Estate Hotels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Marriott International. Belmond now has 50 properties across 24 countries. It is part of the luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
