Radisson Hotel Group has named Aly El-Bassuni as senior vice president, franchise operations for the Americas. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for driving operational strategies across the Americas for Radisson Hotel Group’s franchised and managed hotels. El-Bassuni will continue to lead the franchise operations, owner relations, retention services, guest experience, and safety and security functions across all brands in the Americas.

RoomIt by CWT, the global hotel distribution division of CWT, has named Jeff Zidell as senior vice president and customer experience officer and Ellen Zfaney as vice president, supply strategy and innovation. Zidell was previously senior vice president, asset management at startup CorePoint Lodging, and spent nearly a decade with Hyatt Hotels. Prior to that, she was at Expedia, where she was head of global strategic partnerships for over three years. She also worked for Orbitz Worldwide for 11 years.
British Airways has appointed Mark Muren as head of global sales. He joins the carrier from United Airlines, where he was managing director of global accounts. He has also been a captain flying regional jets for United Express and SkyWest Airlines.
Nina & Pinta, the managed travel consultancy, has named Chris Crowley as a partner. He brings over 25 years of industry experience to the company, including senior management positions in the hotel, leisure and business travel sectors. He has served as president of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE).
Hilton has announced that Dino Michael will extend his current Waldorf Astoria brand head role to include the global brand head position for the Conrad brand effective Jan. 1, 2020. He took the Waldorf Astoria position in June 2018. Prior to that he was vice president for Hilton’s luxury portfolio.
WorldHotels has named Kristin Intress as CEO. She has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality, technology and healthcare industries, including previously serving as CEO of WorldHotels.
