United Airlines named Doreen Burse as senior vice president of worldwide sales, beginning March 1. She has more than 30 years of experience with Marriott. Most recently, Burse served as vice president of Marriott’s global sales for the US and Canada, with clients representing $16 billion in annual spending.



Delta Air Lines named Alain Bellemare as president of its international organization. He had been CEO of Bombardier, the aircraft manufacturer. Steve Sear, who had been president of international as well as executive vice president of global sales, will continue to lead the carrier’s global sales team. In addition, Delta has hired former Softank executive and McKinsey partner Michelle Horn as senior vice president and chief strategy officer. She will lead the airline’s corporate strategy team.


Deutsche Hospitality, which operates 150 hotels on three continents, named Norbeth Speth to the newly created position of vice president-corporate strategy and openings. Most recently he was area director of operations at SV Hotel AG. Speth has also worked at InterContinental and Marriott. He will be responsible for the pooling and development of strategic initiatives and will also take charge of the future openings division.
