American Express Global Business Travel has appointed Martine Gerow as its new CFO, based in London. She was previously CFO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel where she led a global team overseeing all functions within the finance division. Gerow will join the American Express GBT operating committee. Previously, Gerow held CFO positions at French media services company Solocal Groupe and Spanish multinational food company, Campofrio. Earlier in her career, she was a strategy consultant for the Boston Consulting Group, before moving to PepsiCo and then Danone, where she held division CFO and group controller roles. Gerow received a business degree from HEC Paris and an MBA from the Columbia Business School in New York.

Travel Leaders Group (TLG) has named Steve DeLorenzo as its new CFO. Before joining TLG, DeLorenzo was Global CFO for PR Newswire, the digital media company. He was responsible for global finance, strategic planning, information security and facilities; and played a role in the sale of PR Newswire to Cision. Prior to PR Newswire, he was COO and CFO at Screenvision Media, GoodTimes Entertainment and Zagat Survey.  He also served as corporate controller of CMP Media.  He began his career at PwC, where he was a senior manager.

AmTrav Corporate Travel in Calabasas, CA, announced that Scott Fischer has been named director of business development. He will be promoting the TMC’s travel management solution in the Midwest and elsewhere. Fischer previously served in corporate travel sales for Egencia, the Expedia business travel division; and BCD Travel.

Duetto, the revenue management technology company, has promoted Nelson Veiga to COO. He most recently led the customer success and deployment teams. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president of operations. The company also announced new positions for two other executives: Nathan Crisp, now vice president, managed services and customer success, Americas; and Nevin Reed, vice president, managed services and customer success, casinos. Crisp most recently served as vice president of revenue management and distribution for Trump Hotels; and Reed has served in various roles at Duetto over the last three years.

Red Roof, the hotel chain, has promoted Neil Scott to vice president of sales and operations; he had been regional vice president of operations. In his new role, Scott is tasked with growing the brand’s business in Canada, with a focus on opening locations in major markets and border cities, as well as near major airports and universities. Scott joined Red Roof in 1995 as a general manager and district trainer. He became area manager of corporate managed assets in 2011 and regional vice president of operations in 2014. Before joining Red Roof, Scott served as a manager for Westin Hotels and Resorts for 11 years.

WestJet has named Charles Duncan as head of WestJet Encore, the carrier’s regional airline. In his most recent role at United Airlines, Charles was senior vice president-technical operations. While at United, he oversaw the maintenance organization of 12,500 employees. Previously, he was vice president, Chicago O’Hare Hub for United; vice president-Europe, Middle East, Africa and India for United; and president and COO for Continental Micronesia for Continental Airlines.
