Sabre Corporation has named Wade Jones as executive vice president and president of Sabre Travel Network and Dave Shirk as executive vice president and president of Sabre Airline Solutions.

Jones is currently serving as interim president of Travel Network, a position he took over in 2016 when Sean Menke was promoted to president and CEO of Sabre. Previously Jones held the position of vice president of marketing and strategy. Prior to joining Sabre in 2015, he held senior executive positions with marketplace technology companies, and spent more than 10 years with Barclaycard.

Shirk joins Sabre from Kony, Inc., a developer of mobile applications, where he served as president. He previously held senior executive positions at Computer Services Corp. (CSC), Hewlett-Packard, Siemens and Oracle, among others

American Express Global Business Travel has announced the promotion of David Reimer to senior vice president and general manager for North America, and Elyes Mrad, who will become senior vice president and general manager, International, overseeing the EMEA and APAC regions as well as the company’s Travel Partner Network (TPN).

Reimer has almost 19 years with American Express and American Express GBT. Most recently he served as managing director, APAC. Mrad has served as managing director, EMEA. He now adds responsibilities for the APAC region.

L.E. Hotels has announced the appointment of Bianca Porto Barga as vice president of account management. Prior to joining L.E. Hotels, Barga served as director of sales and revenue management for three different properties under Paligroup Management. She has also held positions at Los Angeles Mondrian and Sofitel Hotels as director of revenue management.

Etihad Aviation Group has appointed Gavin Halliday as managing director of Hala Group, its destination management and global loyalty unit. Halliday will start in his new role in early September, replacing Darren Peisley, who has been acting managing director of Hala Group.

Halliday comes to the position with more than 30 years of experience at British Airways and other IAG business units. For the last three years, he has been CEO of Avios, IAG’s global loyalty program. Previously, he held senior commercial positions at IAG, Iberia, British Midland and British Airways.
