Southwest Airlines has announced several promotions including Ryan Green who has been named vice president, chief marketing officer.  Green joined Southwest in 2002 and held several marketing leadership positions, most recently as vice president of marketing.

Bill Tierney, who joined the company in 2003 and has served in several customer relations and marketing roles, has been promoted to managing director of marketing.  Within corporate delivery and technology, Erika Linford, a five-year veteran of the company, has been named VP corporate delivery—commercial, customer and ground operations.

VP and treasurer Chris Monroe has been promoted to senior vice president finance. Monroe will continue to serve as treasurer and will assume the responsibility of the tax department.

Adelman Travel has announced that Bob Chaiken is moving from his role as chief executive officer to become vice chairman. At the same time Andrew "Andy" McGraw will become CEO and board member of Adelman Travel.

Chaiken joined the company in 1991 as business manager after working in real estate and as a CPA. He was later named CFO in 1994, COO in 1998, president in 2008 and CEO in 2013.

Most recently, McGraw was a partner at Altus Alliance, a revenue growth services firm. Previously he was SVP and head of revenue at Deem/Rearden Commerce; and held executive positions at American Express; Travel One and US Airways.

BCD Meetings & Events has added two executives to its global Enterprise Solutions team. Shauna Whitehead joins as VP global account management and Nancy Medoff as VP global sales.

Whitehead was previously with CWT Meetings & Events where she most recently held the position of senior director, operations North America, leading an organizational restructure to a specialized service delivery platform.
Medoff joins the organization from Marriott International where she held a number of leadership roles in global and regional sales teams; most recently responsible for the Northeast group sales team.

Alaska Airlines has named Wayne Newton as vice president of airport operations and customer service. He replaces Jeff Butler, who is now Alaska Airlines' vice president of guest and inflight services - Virgin America.

Newton joined Alaska Airlines in 1988 as a ramp service agent, holding various positions of increasing responsibility, including managing director of system operations control.. For the past two years, he served as managing director of airport operations in Seattle.

LTD Hospitality Group has welcomed Adam Legault as corporate director of operations.  Legault joins the company with over 26 years of hospitality experience.  He began his career as a front desk clerk, and joined La Quinta Inns and Suites as an assistant general manager and rising to the role of a regional vice president of operations.

First Call Hospitality has announced the hiring of Kerry Murphy as its new revenue manager overseeing all managed hotels. Murphy has experience in hotel operations and sales prior to her role in revenue management. Additionally, she worked with Hilton on the development and initial launch of its current revenue management platform.

Vail Resorts has announced Lynanne J. Kunkelas has joined the company as chief human resources officer. Since 2010, Kunkelas has served in various executive positions for Whirlpool Corporation, most recently as senior vice president of global human resources.

Prior to that role, Kunkel served in a number of roles at Ohio-based Procter & Gamble, rising to the position of human resources director of global home care.
