Choice Hotels International has appointed former Amazon executive Ricardo Losada Revol senior vice president and general manager of international operations, the hotel company announced. In the newly created role, he will “drive growth” and increase performance in Choice’s international sector as it “continues to expand its global footprint,” the company said in a statement. Losada Revol previously served as director of corporate development of finance with Amazon. He also served as vice president of corporate finance at global energy management company World Kinect Corp., where he worked for more than 10 years.

The U.S. Travel Association announced the addition of Ishma Haider as vice president, group travel, a new position that will bolster the association’s work to increase group/meetings travel to and within the US.She joins U.S. Travel from Visit Orlando where she served as director of convention marketing for nearly four years and, according to the announcement, successfully drove year-over-year increases in group travel. Prior to Visit Orlando, Haider served on the national meetings and events team at Caesars Entertainment.
