MeetingPackage, an event planning platform; and Hotel Planner, a lodging booking site, have formed a partnership that makes MeetingPackage the official provider of instantly booked meeting and event spaces for HotelPlanner customers. Joonas Ahola, CEO of MeetingPackage, said the partnership “is a big milestone as we push forward in our mission to become the first channel manager solution for meetings and event spaces.” He said hotels and venues shouldn’t have to create multiple accounts for all sorts of different portals and marketplaces, or sort through RFP spam. Giving event spaces one central profile with real-time availability on the world's biggest travel sites, he said, “is a game changer.” Bas Lemmens, managing director, HotelPlanner, said allowing customers to book meeting rooms directly online will deliver huge cost reductions and time savings. Working together with MeetingPackage, he said, “we will win the trust of more customers by providing them with an easy, available and customer-friendly booking solution within all our partner websites.” Lemmens said the integration work has already started and is expected to go live by the end of this year.
