Michael McCormick will step down as executive director and COO of the Global Business Travel Association after 10 years with the organization. He will remain in an advisory role to Scott Solombrino, who will take over leadership of the association, and the board to ensure a smooth transition leading into the annual convention in August in Chicago. McCormick has led GBTA though a period of unprecedented development and growth, according to an announcement, effectively building and advancing the operation of GBTA and building its presence internationally. Under his leadership, GBTA has tripled its membership and doubled its operating revenues over the past two decades. The longtime president and CEO of Dav El/Boston Coach Chauffeured Transportation Network, Solombrino recently left his position at the company after 43 years. He was the co-founder and four-term past president of the National Limousine Association.
