Stephanie Linnartz, who has been serving as president of Marriott International, will become president and CEO of Under Armour, the athletic clothing company, as of Feb. 27. She has been with Marriott for 25 years.

Kevin Plank, executive chair and brand chief of Under Armour, said Linnartz is “a proven growth leader with a distinguished track record of brand strategy, omnichannel execution, talent acquisition and development, and passion for driving best-in-class consumer connectivity, experience and brand loyalty.”

He continued that Linnartz was responsible for leading Marriott’s multibillion-dollar digital transformation, driving scale through continuous brand innovation across the portfolio, developing premier sports league and team partnerships, while overseeing the growth of its loyalty program.

Linnartz said in a statement that Under Armour is an iconic brand “with a huge opportunity ahead.” She said the company “has immense energy and excitement, and I am committed to building growth while maintaining operational excellence.”

In her current role since 2021, Linnartz previously served as group president, consumer operations, technology and emerging businesses; and as executive vice president and global chief commercial officer from 2013 to 2019. Before that, she held various executive roles in sales, marketing and finance and played a significant role in the integration of Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
