Lufthansa Group will significantly expand the services of its carriers – Lufthansa, Swiss and Eurowings – in June. The airlines will add numerous destinations to their schedules with a planned 1,800 weekly roundtrips to more than 130 destinations worldwide by the end of June. Harry Hohmeister, member of the executive board of German Lufthansa AG, said that with the June schedule, the airline is making an important contribution to the revitalization of the aviation infrastructure. “People want to and can travel again, whether on holiday or for business reasons,” said Hohmeister. In total, the three carriers will be offering more than 70 weekly frequencies overseas until mid-June, almost four times as many as in May, with additional long-haul flights planned for the second half of the month. When planning trips, said the company, customers should consider the entry and quarantine regulations of the destinations. They should also be aware of stricter hygiene and security regulations, possible longer lines at airport security checkpoints and the need to wear a face covering. Catering service on board is restricted.
