New York – Citadines Connect Fifth Avenue New York, a boutique hotel steps away from Times Square and Fifth Avenue, has opened with 125 rooms. The brand’s first property in the US, the hotel offers a 24-hour grab-and-go deli corner, complimentary breakfast, free WiFi, 24-hour business center and a variety of guestroom types ranging from premier rooms with king or double beds to one-bedroom suites. There are over 120 Citadines hotels with more than 20,000 units in over 20 countries.

Herndon, Va. – Courtyard by Marriott Dulles Airport Herndon has opened near Washington Dulles International Airport. The 187-room property offers rooms with movable, lightweight desks on wheels; a personal device-charging station and individual booths with flat-screen TV’s in the lobby; free fast WiFi; The Bistro, serving breakfast, dinner, cocktails and coffee; 24-hour fitness center; business library with computer stations; complimentary airport shuttle; 918 square feet of meeting space for up to 90 people; and proximity to the metro line, connecting Herndon to the airport.

San Diego – InterContinental San Diego, a 400-room property overlooking the city’s bayfront, has opened. Located on the grounds of Lane Field, the former baseball stadium of the San Diego Padres, the hotel is close to the convention center. There are five on-property restaurants, bars and coffee shops; 95,000 square feet of meeting and event space; a rooftop pool; and a 3,300-square-foot health and wellness center.

Troy, N.Y. – Courtyard by Marriott Albany Troy/Waterfront has opened with 132 rooms. Located on the Hudson River in downtown Troy, the hotel is eight miles from Albany and 10 minutes from Albany International Airport. Upon arrival, guests can store bags on the “Luggage Drop” and plug personal devices into the “Tech Drop” ledge for seamless technology integration. Rooms feature light desks on wheels, allowing guests to work from anywhere in the room. Each guestroom also offers a microwave and mini-refrigerator. The lobby Bistro offers breakfast and dinner items, coffee and beverages.

Chicago – The St. Clair Hotel, the first property in The Red Collection, Red Roof’s “soft” brand, has opened with 208 rooms in the Streeterville neighborhood a block from the Magnificent Mile. The Red Collection features upper midscale city hotels. Amenities include free WiFi and a lobby restaurant to be opened soon.
