Mesa, Ariz. – DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix/Mesa has opened with 262 rooms; it is located 10 minutes from downtown Mesa and a half-hour from Phoenix. Each room has a mini-fridge and 50-inch HDTV. Other features include 20,495 square feet of event space, free parking and WiFi, executive lounge, 24/7 fitness center, restaurant and a bar.
Nara, Japan – The JW Marriott Nara has opened, the 800th Marriott property in Asia/Pacific and the first JW Marriott in Japan. The 158-room hotel has several restaurants, 24-hour fitness center, indoor pool,  ballroom and four additional meeting rooms. The hotel is connected to a convention center, the largest in the city.

Amsterdam – Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam-North Riverside has opened as the brand’s largest property in Europe. The hotel is a 25-minute drive from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and a 10-minute drive from Amsterdam Central Station. The 438-room property has rooms with flexible workspaces, flat screen TV’s, ergonomically designed chairs and ample USB ports and plug sockets next to the bed. Amenities include free breakfast, a bar, two meeting rooms and a business center.

Greenville, S.C. – The 126-room Cambria Hotel Greenville has opened, a 15-minute drive from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.  The hotel features spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors; onsite dining, including to-go options; seasonal outdoor pool; meeting space; and a fitness center.

Chicago – The 210-suite, dual-branded Hyatt House (107 rooms) and Hyatt Place Chicago (103 rooms) Medical/University District has opened in what was Cook County Hospital. The hotels are part of a $1 billion multi-phase plan that features over 4,000 square feet of meeting space, open concept public spaces, a 24-hour fitness center, a food hall and more. Both hotels offer free WiFi.
