Denver — The 96-suite Atwell Suites Denver Airport - Tower Road has opened featuring public co-working spaces, a fitness center and The Study meeting room. Amenities include free breakfast and a 24-hour beverage station. This is the second location for Atwell Suites, which was launched, according to IHG, which operates the brand, as an upper-midscale concept with amenities and services falling somewhere between an extended-stay property and a select service hotel.
Durban, South Africa — Radisson Blu Hotel, Durban Umhlanga, has opened. The 206-room property offers an outdoor pool, executive business lounge, fitness center, restaurant and bar, coffee lounge and extensive meeting space, including a 600-seat ballroom.
Yokohama, Japan — The 373-room Westin Yokohama has opened in the city’s new central business district, Minato Mirai. It is a 25-minute drive from Tokyo Haneda Airport and a 36-minute train ride to Tokyo city center. The property offers five food and beverage outlets, a dedicated wellness floor of over 10,000 square feet, including a spa; heated indoor pool; and more than 11,000 square feet of meeting space. Göteborg, Sweden — The 451-room Scandic Göteborg Central has opened as part of a large urban redevelopment project called Älvstaden. A short walk from the central rail station, the property has extensive meeting space in 19 conference rooms, a restaurant and co-working spaces. Scandic is the largest hotel company in the Nordic countries, with more than 280 hotels in operation and under development, in more than 130 destinations.
Columbia, S.C. — Cambria Hotel Columbia Downtown the Vista has opened with 144 rooms; it is the brand’s 60th hotel. Located in center city, the property offers multipurpose indoor and outdoor spaces for work and relaxation; onsite dining with freshly made food, beverages and to-go options; multifunction meeting spaces; and a fitness center.
Brisbane, Australia — Voco Brisbane City Center has opened with 194 rooms. It features a 24-hour fitness center; rooftop pool; Kraft & Co., which transforms from a daytime cafe to a nighttime bar; 12,900 square feet of meeting space in 11 rooms; and free access to bamboo bikes.
