Dusseldorf, Germany — The 455-room Holiday Inn Express Dusseldorf-Hauptbahnhof has opened; it is the largest for the brand in Europe. Located a half-mile from the city’s central railway station, the property is a short distance from Dusseldorf International Airport. The hotel offers two meeting rooms for up to 18 people, a business center, and free breakfast and WiFi.
Nashville — The Cadence, operated by WhyHotel, has opened, welcoming long-term guests now and set to accept transient guests in January. WhyHotel’s Hospitality Living umbrella, said the company, “blurs the lines of home and hospitality by providing guests with the comforts of a home-like space, blended with the convenience of a traditional hotel experience.” Located in Midtown, the property is less than a mile from Music Row. Amenities include a pool, lounge area, gym and courtyard. Each unit in the building offers a full walk-in closet, washer and dryer and kitchen.
Madrid — Rosewood Villa Magna has opened in the city’s Salamanca district on the Paseo de la Castellana. The property has 101 guestrooms, 49 suites and four large “signature suites.” The property has several restaurants, a spa and one floor configured into different modular areas for events.
Johannesburg — Hyatt House Johannesburg Sandton has opened with 62 rooms, the first for the brand in South Africa. Located in the suburb of Sandton, which is part of Johannesburg, the hotel has studios and two- and three-bedroom suites – all with full kitchens, living and working spaces and laundry facilities. Amenities include a fitness center, an outdoor pool, a restaurant and bar, and free WiFi and breakfast.
Budapest – Crowne Plaza Budapest has opened in the heart of the city, adjacent to the Nyugati train station. The 230 rooms feature desk areas for work and sofas. A Plaza Workspace offers a flexible public space for meetings or working. There are also 13 meeting rooms, a restaurant and a Club Lounge.
Tblisi, Georgia – Hilton Garden Inn Tbilisi Chavchavadze has opened; it is the first Hilton Garden Inn in Georgia and Hilton’s first hotel in the nation’s capital. The property has several restaurants and a 24-hour market. Each room features a work desk and ergonomic desk chair; and an in-room “hospitality center” with a mini-fridge and coffee maker.
