Kennesaw, Ga. – The dual-branded Tru by Hilton NW Kennesaw and Home2 Suites by Hilton NW Kennesaw has opened with a total of 170 rooms in the city’s commercial district, 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta. The hotel has two distinct lobbies and dining areas, each catering to the needs of its respective guests while sharing one registration desk, a fitness center, an outdoor pool and a grilling area. Features at the Tru by Hilton include smaller rooms with mobile desks and large bathrooms; free breakfast; a 24/7 Eat. & Sip. Market;  lobby tablets; and outlets everywhere. The Home2 Suites offers all-suite accommodations with full kitchens and modular furniture, communal spaces, the Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items and free breakfast.

Dublin – The 234-room Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin, the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Ireland, has opened in The Liberties area of the city. There are two restaurants, 4,000 square feet of meeting space and a 24-hour fitness center.

San Francisco – The 351-room Grand Hyatt at SFO has opened, billed as the airport’s first and only luxury hotel. The property offers 14,435 square feet of meeting space, a 24-hour restaurant and a fitness center. An AirTrain brings travelers from the terminal to the lobby for check-in.

Overland Park, Kan. – My Place Overland Park has opened with 64 rooms, the first for the brand in the state. The extended-stay units offer kitchens with full refrigerators, two-burner cook tops and microwaves. Amenities include onsite laundry facilities, My Store with food and beverages, and pre-packaged breakfast delivered to the refrigerator the previous day.


New York – The 562-suite Conrad New York Midtown has opened, the brand’s second location in the city and the former site of The London NYC. Following a complete renovation, guest suites are designed to resemble metropolitan pieds-a-terre rather than traditional hotel rooms. There are 13 premium suites including a 3,000-square-foot, two-story penthouse. Amenities include a restaurant and bar; use of a house car; digital check-in, digital key and digital checkout; laundry services; 24/7 business center access; and valet parking. There is a private dining room and event space for up to 100.

Madrid – Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid has opened on the Paseo de la Castellana, 30 minutes from the airport and near the metro. The 169-room hotel offers 33 suites, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant called Santceloni, another restaurant called La Manzana, over 12,270 square feet of meeting space and a rooftop gym.

Longview, Texas – Tru by Hilton Longview has opened with 90 rooms near the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center and LeTourneau University. Amenities include free breakfast and WiFi, a large lobby for working, playing and eating, a 24/7 Eat. & Sip. Market, lobby tablets and accessibility to outlets everywhere. There is also a fitness center.


Appleton, Wis. – The 82-room Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Appleton has opened less than three miles from Appleton International Airport. Amenities include an indoor pool, a fitness center, valet laundry service, and free Wifi and breakfast.


Asheville, N.C. – Kimpton Hotel Arras has opened with 128 rooms  in the former BB&T Bank, the tallest building in western North Carolina. The lobby features a folk art collection, music and dining with more than 300 feet of outdoor terrace space. Two independent restaurants are adjacent to the property. Amenities include morning coffee and tea service, nightly social hour, a massage room, yoga area, fitness center and free bikes.
