Planes will feature widest seats available for aircraft, enhanced entertainment and broader connectivity >>
JetBlue has introduced newly designed cabins on its Airbus A320 aircraft that feature what the carrier calls the widest seats available for the aircraft, enhanced seatback inflight entertainment with more than 100 channels of
DirecTV, power sources at every seat and expanded coverage of WiFi connectivity. The planes, which make up the majority of JetBlue’s fleet, are being updated for the first time since the airline introduced onboard live television and all-leather seats in 2000. The seats will be more than 18 inches wide, with the most legroom in coach of any US airline, adjustable headrests, redesigned stowage options and at least two easy-to-reach power connections at every seat. The entertainment system will feature an expanded collection of on-demand movies, TV shows and video content, plus new gaming features; an enhanced 3D flight map to track time to the destination; and expanded Fly-Fi connectivity, providing coverage to nearly the entire JetBlue network.
