IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has launched IHG Studio, a digital in-room guest entertainment solution. The technology allows guests to connect and stream content securely from personal devices to guest room TV’s; make service requests; arrange for late checkout and review room charges; access the TV remote from the IHG Rewards Club mobile app; order room service; purchase on-property amenities; and use Pay with Points, a pilot program that allows guests to use loyalty club points to make in-hotel purchases.

IHG Studio has been available in a limited number of hotels but is now being rolled out globally and will become a brand standard in the next few years. Jeff Edwards, senior vice president, global hotel and owner solutions, said guests want to stream and watch their own entertainment content from their mobile devices and personalize their stay experiences.
