Amazon will outsource its worldwide hotel sourcing to HRS beginning in 2019. A multi-year agreement also includes options for Amazon to deploy other HRS solutions as part of an effort to enhance Amazon’s global hotel program. The online marketplace has more than 610,000 employees worldwide. In an announcement, Amazon said that HRS’ end-to-end array of hotel services – especially its use of machine learning and artificial intelligence in sourcing, auditing and search-and-book processes – drove this choice. It added that as Amazon grows globally, HRS’ presence in all key city centers is vital to best managing hotel expenditures. Earlier this year, HRS also won similar accounts for Siemens and Airbus. The company now works with more than 3,000 multinational corporations and has 35 offices worldwide.
