HRS, the corporate lodging platform, has acquired Itelya, a travel invoice management services provider with services used in more than 180 countries. Itelya’s invoice collection and data management capabilities, according to an announcement, simplify an array of downstream functions, including payment to suppliers and VAT reclaim for corporations. Tobias Ragge, CEO of HRS, said that Itelya’s decade-long expertise in global invoice management will enable the company “to scale much faster to serve our global client base.” He said Itelya is a centerpiece of HRS’s Lodging as a Service platform. The fact that HRS owns all its technology solutions and associated data models, said Ragge, “gives us a unique capability to innovate faster and create the highest value for our customers.” The Lodging as a Service platform includes: a procurement360 platform to benchmark rates, safety, security and sustainability; a one-stop shop for booking corporate hotels; and the Pay2Reimburse plug and play solution working within the entire ecosystem consisting of credit card merchants, expense tool providers and VAT reclaim services.
