Globespan Travel Management, a Toronto-based TMC, has joined GlobalStar Travel Management as its newest partner. Globespan belongs to a group of travel companies founded in 1970. It specializes in corporate travel, as well as high-end leisure and air consolidation. These companies employ about 500 and have dedicated groups and MICE (meetings/incentives/conferences/exhibitions) staffs of over 50 members. The company has additional wholly owned offices in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Sydney and Manila, with further expansion plans in the works. According to an announcement, one of Globespan’s strengths is in serving rotational travel programs and project travel logistics for the construction, oil and gas, IT, medical and marine industries. It works with companies like Concur Travel Solutions, Infinity Reservations System, StarCite, Meetago and others. GlobalStar claims to be the largest independent business travel network in the world, operating through 3,500 locations in over 85 countries with a combined turnover of $14 billion.
