A large majority of global business travelers are embracing travel innovation, according to research from CWT, the TMC. The survey asked about innovations like online booking tools, mobile travel apps, TSA Pre-Check, Global Entry and ride sharing. Travelers from the Americas and Asia-Pacific are most likely to favor innovation, with 75 percent and 71 percent, respectively. Europeans are warier of changes – with 7 percent of them stating a reluctance to embrace travel innovation versus 5 percent of Asia-Pacific and 3 percent of Americas travelers. The top three most important devices to bring along on a trip, according to the research, are cell phones (81 percent), computers (52 percent) and portable battery chargers (41 percent). Chargers have become increasingly popular and have taken over third place from tablets in the last two years.
