Etihad, the Gulf-based airline, will be discontinuing chauffeur service globally for first and business class passengers as of July 3, except for the carrier’s Abu Dhabi hub. Previously, most first and business class passengers received complimentary chauffeur service on arrival and departure. The carrier will be replacing the service with “a paid option at specially negotiated rates in all other cities,” which will also be available to economy passengers. First and business class tickets issued prior to July 3 will have the chauffeur service honored. Last year, the airline cut complimentary chauffeur service for passengers on partner award tickets.
